Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 3-K students are bright and happy learners. My hope is to ensure they are described as such for many years to come so, to kick off their very first experience in school, I’d like to give my students board books.
My Project
Because the students are in the early literacy stage, these materials will make a big impact on students learning trajectory. The students enjoy sitting in the library area looking through the books. These board books will be added to the library area in the classroom for students.
The students will be able to take the books home and encourage their family to read to them at bedtime.
The practice of teachers and families reading to the students daily will foster new vocabulary development as well as improve their language acquisition.
