About My Students
My flag squad practices three times a week separately from the marching band. We make recordings for the girls to use during their separate rehearsals. The system we use now is very weak and the students cannot hear the band on the recording well at all. Then my girls told me about this speaker.
My flag squad girls are very independent girls and knowledgeable of the latest technology. They have done their best with the poor recordings we've made this year and are looking to increase the quality of recording for next year's squad. My squad leader has done her research to find the best brand and model of bluetooth speaker to meet her squad's needs.
The girls in our flag squad have developed a great relationship with each other, both 7th and 8th grade students. I believe that the reason why this squad has been so successful is because they have a mutual respect for one another and trust each other. They are able to create routines and make decisions without hurting each other's feelings or insulting one another. That is a huge accomplishment for pre-teen students.
In Their Own Words
As one of the flag squad captains I took it upon myself to solve one of our biggest problems; unable to practice with proper recordings of the marching band. We are unable to hear the recordings that have been made, even with the volume all the way up on our current speakers. With a better quality recording we will be able to create and improve our routines at a faster rate and rehearse them with more clarity.
My co-captain and I have researched the best brand and model for a new bluetooth speaker. The Bose speaker has gotten some of the best ratings from its users. As a captain of this squad I have already helped to choreograph and teach my classmates our routines for the songs we are performing this year: "Happy", "Louie, Louie", and "Shake it Off". After I graduate in June, I will make sure to select another pair of captains who will show the same dignity to the leadership position of captain.
This project is so important to us because we are a young flag squad, only two years old, and I'd like to prepare it for future years of success with the proper materials. We have had new flags donated and even a set of practice flags. This bluetooth speaker will help to set up flag squad girls in the years to come, with the best materials to lead them to success.
