This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a passionate librarian dedicated to fostering a love for reading among our PK to 2nd-grade students on our dual-language campus. I love witnessing their eager minds absorb stories that transcend cultural boundaries, nurturing understanding and appreciation. These Bluebonnet books cater to my PK-2nd grade students, offering enchanting tales that spark imagination and impart valuable life lessons.
Each requested resource will be a stepping stone, enhancing their literacy skills, cultural awareness, and scientific curiosity.
The Guardian Test and Shermy and Shake teach empathy and kindness, while How to Stay Invisible and Odder inspire creativity. Ice Cream Man and Jovita Wore Pants introduce diverse perspectives, and Mystery of the Monarchs engages them in real-world science exploration.
My goal is to create a diverse and enriching library that mirrors the uniqueness of my students. Your support will empower them to connect, understand, and thrive in a world of literature that reflects their own stories and those of others.
