Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am so excited that the Los Angeles Rams will send their mascot and cheerleaders to our school to promote reading with their wonderful reading program. The mascot will be reading a book with the kids and will give each child a book and reading supply packet. This day will be dedicated to reading and help make it fun and interesting for our kids.
In order to help make this event fascinating and really capture the kids interest in reading, we need to make it bright colorful and fun looking.
We need a variety of balloons and balloon arch to capture kids attention. These balloons will help the students look at reading as fun and bright. After the official program is over we will also have reading stations, the balloons will help the students identify which characters or authors are covered in each station.
As educators we always look for ways to capture our students interested and hope to build a strong educational foundation in each child. Events like this is one that our kids will always remember and am sure that when they think about it, they will remember what book they read and how happy it made them feel.
