My Project
A Child's mind has so much potential and creativity that I've always enjoyed the opportunity to witness as they engage in freestyle toys. With building blocks at their disposal it is amazing to see them construct amazing structures and building with simple shapes and building blocks! With different architecture and dynamics showing in each structure that they build, I see a whole new set of skills that my students are developing as they build their tower higher and higher. Their grasping skills, cognitive skills, bilateral coordination skills, balance, apraxia, and the list goes on and on.
The free-style play that building toys provide are an unmatched facilitator for skill building that the children can generalize to other areas of work and play.
I cannot wait to see what my little builds will build next!
