Help me give my students a safe and healthy learning environment. So, they can feel more comfortable with in-person learning and allow the students to collaborate.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My scholars are young, vibrant, creative, ambitious, and driven. Unfortunately, my school district is located in a low-income/high-poverty area. Therefore, we do not have the funds to purchase sneeze guards for all of our scholars. However, installing acrylic sneeze guard dividers in my classroom will create a physical barrier between students and staff. These protective barriers will help prevent the spread of common germs and viruses in the school, help families feel more comfortable with in-person learning, and allow the students to collaborate.
Despite the many challenges my scholars face both in and out of the classroom, they come to school eager to learn.
They are intellectually engaged in challenging content; they reflect upon their learning, grasp new concepts at a rigorous pace with lots of repetition, and are independent and self-motivated learners.
In closing, we’ve been living with coronavirus for months now, but this is NO time to let your guard down. We have to ensure that our scholars are becoming lifelong learns in a safe environment.
My Project
Installing these sneeze guards dividers in my classroom will create a physical barrier between students and staff. These protective barriers will help prevent the spread of common germs and viruses in the school, help families feel more comfortable with in-person learning, and allow the students to collaborate. Parents are naturally concerned about kids being in reasonably close quarters for lengthy periods. Having the sneeze guards will enable everyone to breathe a little easier this school year and focus on the scholars learning not to worry highly about child safety. Let's just focus on closing the academic gap!!!
