Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our elementary school is located in Duquesne City right outside of Pittsburgh, PA. We host students PreK-6th grade how come from various cultural backgrounds. Unfortunately, many of our students live under the poverty line and lack the home experiences that help them succeed at school.

My students love to play, learn, explore, and create!

As their teacher, it's my job to get them ready for Kindergarten but more importantly, make them love school. It's my goal to provide them with all the opportunities possible to give them the best start in school and in life!

My Project

These headphones will allow my students to complete programs like ABC mouse, Espark, and ABCya on their iPads without hearing the noise of everyone else's iPads in the background. In my PreK room, we have 1:1 iPads, which is awesome! But, when everyone is on their iPad at the same time it makes it hard for my little ones to focus because there is so much noise going on around the room.

The headphones will help us block out the noise!

Our iPads give my students the ability to be 21st-century learners and help prepare them for Kindergarten. These headphones will help them focus and be able to use their iPads even more to their advantage!
