This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The "A Place for Everyone Classroom Carpet" will allow my students to work individually or with friends within our Preschool Block Center. The Block Center encourages children to play and build while safely strengthening fine and gross motor skills. Also, the block center enhances children's mathematical and problem-solving skills when learning balance, weight, and gravity. Additionally, constructing "creations" teaches children about cause and effect. It also builds self-esteem and feelings of success. Furthermore, when children work together, they improve their language development, social skills, and sense of well-being and become valuable members of our diverse classroom community.
