This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My cheerleaders are athletic, energetic, and full of school spirit. They are eager to learn new skills, and they enjoy being creative with dances, cheers, and sideline chants. Cheerleading practice and participating in school events have given my cheerleaders a safe space to be themselves and build their confidence.
Our cheerleading team's goal is to continue to build on values such as citizenship, sportsmanship, teamwork, and hard work.
These values have helped with self-esteem and academic excellence among student athletes. I am grateful to have this opportunity to be their coach as I watch them grow and progress as student athletes. We are booked and busy throughout the school year. Our performances range from pep rallies, basketball games, cheer competitions, and the promotion of school spirit.
Wearing the right cheer practice attire is crucial for safety, performance, and team unity during practice. Our cheerleaders tumble, jump, dance, create cheers and sideline chants during our practice time. Having the right practice outfit will allow our cheerleaders to build on their athletic skills in safe and comfortable attire.
