My students are phenomenal. They work so hard every day despite the challenges life has brought their way. My goal as an educator is to help students fall in love with learning so they can become lifelong learners.
I am much more than a teacher to them.
I am a friend and often a provider as well. I want them to have an abundance of resources at their fingertips so they can learn to their maximum potential each and every day!
My Project
We are requesting new books to help update our classroom library! I want my students to fall in love with reading. Some students come into my room with a passion for reading and for some it is an absolutely painful task. I want all my students to have a fair chance to fall in love with reading which means all students deserve a wide variety of books at their reading level.
No kid is the same which means I need to have ALOT of books.
New books for the child who breezes through everything I give them and a large variety for the child who struggles finding a single book they are interested in.
Getting this project funded would give my students more opportunity to fall in love with reading. It would give my classroom library an update and also give me some new and up to date read alouds to use as mentor texts in my reader's workshop lessons.
