My Students
I have approximately 140 8th-grade language arts students. These students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds, and many receive the free and reduced-price lunch program. Many are unable to bring the school supplies that we need in the classroom daily.
I want to provide my students with the best classroom experience that I can, no matter where that classroom is.
Having the necessary supplies in my classroom will help make each day a positive experience for my students. Having supplies readily available in class gives the students one less thing to worry about.
My Project
With education changing so much this year because of COVID-19, I am always looking for fun, educational ways to do distance learning. Teachers Pay Teachers has some amazing pre-made digital book units that I can use for my distance learning students, as well as those in my class.
Being able to teach students in class and at home has been a challenge that most teachers have had to face this year.
Students that are working from home deserve engaging lessons, that will still help them to learn and grow as students. Being able to find great lesson plans that are both made for those students learning in person and virtually is a tremendous help with my lesson plans. Having pre-made digital lesson plans and also materials like paper and pencil to use in class will help make for a successful year. I am also requesting some basic supplies like paper, pencils, and organizing bins.
