Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are mostly English Language Learners, coming mainly from Spanish speaking countries. The Technology lab is a place where they come to feel safe, learn skills, and above all have fun!
The biggest issue we face is that my 30 iMacs are all connected via Wi-Fi, and 30 computers on one drop tends to be a hit or miss experience for them.
They are only with me once a week, and having to wait long for simple sites to load is not any fun.
With my project I want to network all the computers via ethernet cables and ethernet switches. With these materials, that lab will no longer rely on the Wi-Fi and will not get slowed because of the wireless traffic!
