My Project

Help my students start the second part of the year off right!

I teach humanities (English and history) to over 130 first and second graders.

Dr. Seuss said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go." Help my students learn and go places that they could have not imagined. This is what reading is: the foundation of success and makes all other learning possible.

This year, I want my students to continue to discover, learn and absorb knowledge through reading. I would like my students to have the best opportunities to acquire reading skills that will assist in their development throughout the year. All the items on my list will help all my students including our literacy center work, those with IEPs and on Interventions.

Books can be an escape into a child’s imagination and will give them a connection to each other. Free the spirit of my students and empower them with the skills to become great readers. Your support will help achieve this goal. So, let’s blast off to a universe of learning and reading.
