Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and full of potential. In our autism unit, learning is most effective when it’s hands-on, engaging, and supported with the right tools. Unfortunately, many of my students come from low-income households, and our classroom is their main source for the materials they need to learn and thrive.

This project will provide my students with essential school supplies, bulletin board paper, dry-erase markers, and solar system model kits.

The school supplies will help them complete daily assignments and build confidence in their work. The bulletin board paper will allow us to create bright, inviting displays that showcase our achievements and make learning visible. The dry-erase markers will be used for interactive lessons, giving students the chance to participate and collaborate.

The solar system model kits will bring our space unit to life, allowing students to physically build and explore the planets, moons, and orbits. These hands-on activities are especially powerful for students with autism, as they make abstract concepts concrete and memorable.

By supporting this project, you are helping my students develop academic skills, creativity, and a love for science. You’re giving them the tools to stay engaged, feel proud of their work, and imagine themselves reaching for the stars. With your help, the sky is not the limit: it’s just the beginning.
