This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are so grateful for the Fill Every Shelf match. This project gives students books for growing authors and illustrators, as well as gives them pencil holders. These blank books will be used for students to develop stories and illustrations as they begin to write their own books.
It is inspired by this year's class who is heavily motivated to write their own stories as it is a part of our curriculum.
Gifting students blank books and pencils promotes illustrations and writing. In my classroom, it is important for students to have options and outlets to communicate and begin exploring the "art of thinking and writing" like illustrators and authors.
