Help me give my students a new Math rug, reading corner teepees, as well as black/white/rainbow classroom décor like bulletin board paper, tablecloths, and lights!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello! So those of you who are my regular donors already know that creative ideas pop into my head randomly while I work, read, or am watching Hulu. I want to revamp my reading area, retire one of last year's rugs, and decorate my classroom for the new school year.
Unfortunately, we had a few "ick" and sick moments on our main rug last year so I feel that it's appropriate to get a brand-new rug.
This particular addition/subtraction rug--besides it being used for seating--is innovative in that it can also be used as a learning station tool during Math whole and small groups.
I usually get canopies to hang from the ceiling in the reading area; this year, however, I would like to use teepees instead.
Finally, this year, my theme will be black and white stripes with pops of pink. I do not have a specific theme NAME (like last year's "Miss R.'s Sweet Shoppe!") but I do have a clear vision of what I want my classroom to look like this year. So, I am asking for black and white awnings, bulletin board paper, hangers, tablecloths, lights, and faux flowers to encapsulate it!
