Black Studies for All!

Help me give my students books & bundles that reflect their identities, histories and lives. Stock up the in-class library of our Black Studies humanities class. The texts selected represent an array of stories within the Black identity.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Keegan's classroom raised $1,283

My Project

For so long scholars have read texts about Black identities from a Eurocentric perspective, and with this array of selected texts, each of our young scholars can have ample opportunity to indulge in learning about the rich tapestry of Black identities from both historical Black writers and contemporary Black writers.

We read and teach into all sorts of texts in our co-taught inclusive Black Studies classroom.

Fiction, non-fiction, poetry and short stories alike. Our scholars will be pumped to see that the texts in our classroom are current, relevant and mirror their own life experiences.

Thank you in advance for helping our scholars cultivate and nurture a life-long love of reading.
