My Students

I serve students that are inquisitive, eager, and passionate about 6th grade science.

My students are classified as 92% disadvantaged and 50% are ESl students. Every class period my students arrive engaged and motivated. Many of my students enjoy station activities, laboratory investigations, and enrichment projects.

At times, my students worry about the lack of resources they have due to many being economically disadvantaged.

My Project

AMS is sponsoring virtual field trips for Black History Month. The purpose of our campus' Black History Month virtual field trips are to celebrate the contributions of African Americans to society, and to teach our diverse student body about compassion, inclusion, empathy, respect, and tolerance.

AMS students will take virtual field trips through the past and present to learn about lives and contributions of various African Americans throughout history.

Students will use audio adaptors, lightning adaptors, and lightning chargers for virtual field trips. Students will explore historically significant sites and museums during our virtual field trips.
