My Project

Black history is American history! Our annual Black History Month Celebration Jubilee is going to be the first in person celebration since the pandemic! We will have a full program that involves the entire school community! Groups will include our African American Student Union (AASU), Indian Pakistani Student Union (IndoPak), American Sign Language (ASL) Program, Forensic, Speech and Debate Team, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, Drumline, Art, Ceramics, Photo, Video Production Class and More! We will have a full soul food banquet that will feed over 200 people. What better way to promote anti-racism than to have people acknowledge, embrace, and encourage students to respect the diverse history and influence of Blacks in this country.

Your donation of Black History Month sweatshirts will help us make our annual Black History Month one that our entire school community will not only be able to celebrate but learn from!

Our students come from a variety of ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds. We can all learn from each other. Students can learn the contributions of an often-marginalized minority, while learning about themselves in the process. To understand that we all are part of the same beautifully diverse quilt of America is to understand unity. Help our entire school community celebration Black History!
