Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class is a hard-working group of kind bilingual students who come from diverse backgrounds. They come to school eager to learn and do their best. My students are always interested in helping others and understanding each others lives.
As we approach Black History Month, we are seeking to enrich our classroom’s engagement with the rich cultural heritage of Black jazz musicians.
To celebrate and honor this history, we are planning a lesson that will highlight the contributions of Black jazz musicians to our cultural landscape.
We would like to request a donation of a record player and vinyl records, particularly those by influential Black artists across jazz genre. These materials will be used to foster an appreciation and understanding of Black history through music.
Your support would not only help us celebrate this important month but also inspire our community to explore and engage with the powerful stories and legacies of Black jazz musicians.
