Black History Matters for My 2nd Grade Stars!

My Project

Each year, I challenge myself to find a new way to teach my students about Black History during February! Over the years we have done many different projects and activities. I want to make sure that I am giving them accurate and relevant content that is also engaging!

With this in mind, I want to use Inspiring Women Barbie Dolls, Funko Pop Dolls and books to bring Black History to life!

I would like to introduce these important Black History Figures to my class by sharing these colorful and age appropriate biographies with them and displaying the Barbie dolls and Funko Pop dolls. I know many of my students are interested in these kind of toys and seeing them in our room to represent these important people will help make a lasting impression on them! Thank you for taking the time to consider my project!
