This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of our students are talented, especially when it comes to art. Our school has a field day each year, and the English department always offers a free station for students to have fun. We hosted Chalk Wars this year and it was a true success. Students came to our station (an entire parking lot) and it gave them a chance to be creative and relax with their friends, all while competing against the other classes for the G.O.A.T. trophy. Some groups even decided to skip the other activities during field day in order to stay all day to draw. Our event requires chalk of all kinds: sidewalk chalk, pastel chalk, and charcoal chalk.
