My Project
As my students’ special education teacher I am not their primary classroom teacher, but in most circumstances I am the teacher who will support them longest throughout their elementary school experience; sometimes for as long as 6 years. I always strive to meet my students where they are at and do my best to ensure that every day is filled with positive learning experiences.
My requested items in this project are the little bits that collectively can make sure that my students' individual needs are addressed and my classroom is built for success.
The glasses cleaning cloths are so that students who wear glasses can learn to care for them and ensure good sight during school. The hair ties and headbands are for anyone who needs one because it is very distracting to not be able to pull your hair back when you need to. The calendar and chalkboard markers are for making our class calendar easier to set up and access. The command adhesive hooks are for hanging learning materials on the wall and being able to swap them out between groups. Last but not least, the sponges are for using with glue so that my students can dab the glue onto their papers rather than squeezing on too much.
