My Students

We are a Title I school in the heart of Texas. My students are inquisitive, energetic, and curious. We are a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics magnet school. My students want to grow up to be computer scientists, geologists, environmental engineers, mechanical engineers, roboticists, and the like.

My students pledge to push the boundaries of science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics, and computer science.

My Project

Learning during COVID-19 has been a challenge for students around the world. Hands-on learning experiences play a huge role in student engagement and retention of new material. My students have been craving hands-on activities since instruction abruptly moved to virtual learning in March.

Help my students have engaging, hands-on learning experiences bit by Micro:Bit!

The Micro:Bit version 2 will allow my students to unlock the power of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics). They can do everything from tracking the flight of a water bottle rocket to monitoring the water level of plants to detecting motion to create a programmed light show, and more!
