My Project

This project is to serve and support students at a Title 1 school, and further engage them in learning about the world around them. This project is specifically for a high school biology classroom. In this class, students are tasked with creating "Biosphere III" or a replicable model of the Earth, in a bottle. This is a culminating project that requires them to utilize all of their knowledge to create a sustainable biosphere that will support whatever life that they include within it. I am seeking support, as many students do not have access to the resources needed to fully engage in this learning.

The plant stand will be used to house all of our bio-bottles that are created, the marine aquarium kit/aquarium/pump will be used to begin to propagate marine plants and life, the garden tools will be used to grow terrestrial plants that can make this project more sustainable, and the petri dishes will be used to continue to support student learning in the scientific method.
