My students need arts and crafts materials, including glue sticks, cartons, markers and construction paper, for two upcoming projects about biomes and endangered species.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
There is no such thing as a typical day in a middle school special education Science classroom. They are now coming to middle school with very little science education. By the end of the year I want them to feel confident in themselves and their knowledge of Science.
My students are 6th graders who learn best with positive reinforcement and encouragement from the teacher and other students.
My students are learning disabled and love to learn using visual aids and games, anything interactive. They are an awesome bunch of kids and I want nothing more than to show them how incredible Science is and how they can use it in everyday life.
My Project
My students need arts and crafts materials, including glue sticks, cartons, markers and construction paper. We have two upcoming projects, a biomes research project and an endangered species project, which require the students creating a biome or a model of the species. We are lacking in our class art supplies and would definitely appreciate anything that you could donate!
Any donation or contribution to our classroom is appreciated more than words can say.
Our students don't always have the school supplies needed to succeed, and the supplies I provide myself, don't always last the year. Our students benefit from being able to demonstrate knowledge creatively as well as verbally and these projects allow them to do so.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
