My Project
My goal is for Biology students to have individual review books to help them prepare for high school level NYSED Regents exams by learning course content while learning effective test taking strategies. Students will use these books during class while working in groups for added peer support and to afford more opportunities for teacher guidance. Individual review books can be used for additional reference and independent learning as needed by each individual student.
Students will interact with one another in a fun learning environment while testing each other’s knowledge of many new and abstract science concepts.
Answer choices, right and wrong, are clearly explained in this guide. It’s not just important to be mindful of course content, but how content is presented and how students interact with the content.
Providing each student with individual books along with supplies acquired through previous DonorChoose generosity will enable our young high school scientists to work safely in the classroom and independently. These Study Guides will reinforce Biology course content and critical testing skills that will transfer to other courses as they develop effective on-the-spot thinking processes demanded for success.
