My Project

My ninth grade students have asked over and over if they will be dissecting organisms this year. They are very excited and are hoping to locate and identify parts of a real organism, rather than learning about them in books. Dissecting organisms in class will enable students to learn important concepts about anatomy. Providing students to dissect organisms hands-on will help them learn about internal structures of organisms better. Students will be able to deepen their understanding being able to see, touch and feel what real organs look like which is more engaging than looking at pictures.
