This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Biology models and educational posters provide students with hands-on and visual learning experiences that deepen their understanding of life science. The specific items we are requesting—plant and animal cell models, along with detailed cell biology posters—will make complex biological structures more accessible and engaging. With 3D models, students can physically explore cell organelles, understand their functions, and compare plant and animal cells in a way that goes beyond textbook diagrams. The accompanying posters will serve as constant visual references, reinforcing key concepts and helping students retain information more effectively. These resources will make learning interactive, fostering curiosity and a deeper appreciation for cell biology.

Our goal for this project is to create an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment where students can explore life science concepts with confidence.

By incorporating both physical models and educational visuals, we aim to strengthen critical thinking skills, improve comprehension, and encourage scientific exploration. These tools will be used in hands-on activities, group discussions, and collaborative projects, allowing students to ask questions, make comparisons, and develop a strong foundation in biology. With these resources, we hope to inspire a passion for science and equip students with the knowledge they need to succeed in future STEM fields.

What makes our students special is their enthusiasm for learning and their diverse backgrounds. Many of them have limited access to high-quality science materials, and these biology models and posters will help bridge that gap by providing meaningful, interactive experiences. They are eager to explore the natural world, engage in discussions, and apply what they learn to real-life situations. With the support of generous donors, we can provide our students with the tools they need to thrive in science, sparking curiosity and opening doors to future opportunities in STEM.
