Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This group of 8th grade students are an awesome group of kids. They're working on expanding their reading and writing skills through 21st century learning. They are motivated, inquisitive, bright and clever. These students are book-loving and are craving more stories to read, at their level.

My Project

8th Grade ELA is looking to buy small group sets of biographies for our students to read in literature circles. We'd like to purchase books at varying levels to get our students engaged and reading. These books will be used to facilitate small group reading circles where the students will read and discuss their books together. These biographies will help inspires students for the Project Based Learning we do at the end of the quarter with Chautauqua. We will use the money to purchase a variety of different biographies at varying levels that will engage and challenge all of our students.
