Biographical Wax Museum - Filled with Research of Famous Historical Figures!

My Students

I teach fourth grade at a diverse Title I school in southwest Florida. Our students come from numerous cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Through lots of hard work, our school continues to help our students succeed.

My students are bright and inquisitive but the struggle with reading.

I have been digging deep into my creative reserves to come up with engaging book reports to help encourage them to read and present what they have learned. This new project will be engaging, exciting and really help them learn more about biographical, nonfiction research.

My Project

Having materials readily available is essential for my students! I want to be sure they have a wide selection of biographical material to help them be successful in this project.

My fellow fourth-grade team mates are joining into this project so the entire fourth grade will be benefiting from the opportunity to study famous historical figures and they will then forward the learning by presenting their research to the entire school.

Students will be responsible for learning about a specific figure and they will then dress as that person and have a prepared speech for any schoolmate who wants to find out more.
