My Students
My kindergarten students are some of the most lovable and inquisitive four and five year-olds a teacher can ask for! They really are a wonderful group! I am hoping to help make the 2017-18 school year amazing for them by hopefully getting some projects funded so they can have an engaging, warm, ready-to-learn classroom! My school, located in the heart of Brooklyn, is made up of many different ethnicities and races. The students enjoy coming to school and always become fast friends with one another. The smiles they wear are as big as their hearts. I can tell the students at my school are always eager, excited and ready-to-learn!
My Project
In our kindergarten classroom we have an interactive library where students can borrow books. We organize the books by reading level so students can easily access a book that they are able to read and comprehend. In order to help make our library more organized we are requesting colorful book bins that can hold a lot of books. We can label these bins and sort some books by genre also. These bins would not only brighten our classroom up but also encourage children to want to visit our “library” and make it exciting for them! Hopefully with these bins we will have an amazing library!
