This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an amazing first grade class of 23 super energetic and funny bilingual students. We are beginning a new unit in our English Language Arts curriculum that focuses all on birds. I would love to take my class on nature walks so that we can look for the birds that we are reading about in class.

Binoculars will give my students an opportunity to explore and apply what they are learning to the real world is the best way for students to learn.

My students are so inquisitive and curious just reading about the birds will not be enough for them they will want to see them for themselves. I would greatly appreciate any help in providing binoculars for my 1st grade class.
