Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to learn. They have a passion for learning and school. I teach at an applied learning campus in Texas.
Students learn through hands-on project based learning activities.
I have high expectations for all my students and they live up to them each and every day. Kindergarten is many of my students first experience in school. They need a solid foundation in literacy to help carry them through elementary school all the way into college and careers.
My Project
Organization is hard, especially for a five-year-old! There's always papers going home and papers coming back. It's a constant battle to keep the students from just cramming anything into their backpacks.
These binders will allow the students a place for everything that needs to go home to parents.
Additionally, it will give parents a place to ensure that notes or information will get back to me, the teacher. These binders will give the students a sense of accomplishment and pride because it is something they can take care of all by themselves (with just a little coaching from their parents or their teacher).
