This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These materials will help students organize their work, track their progress, and stay engaged in their learning. The binders, in particular, will allow students to easily access and manage their speech practice materials, making it easier for them to practice consistently. By having organized, personalized resources, students will have the opportunity to progress at their own pace and feel a greater sense of ownership over their learning.
Our main goal for this project is to enhance the speech students' organizational skills and foster their independence in learning.
We aim to provide a structure that allows them to track their progress, practice regularly, and build confidence in their speech abilities. By using binders and other materials, we hope to create a more organized and consistent learning environment that promotes active engagement, improves speech skills, and encourages motivation. Another goal is to offer individualized resources tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their growth in speech therapy.
My students are special because they show incredible determination and resilience in their learning journeys. Despite facing challenges in communication, they continuously strive to improve and achieve their goals. They are highly motivated, eager to learn, and take great pride in their progress. Many of our students have developed strong teamwork skills, supporting each other in their learning process, and show great enthusiasm for speech practice. They possess unique strengths and perspectives that make them a joy to work with. Their commitment and hard work, paired with the right resources and support, can lead them to make significant strides in their communication skills.
The binders, binder tabs, and binder pockets will provide a structured and organized way for speech students to store and manage their learning materials. Many students lack access to resources that can help them stay organized.
