This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are committed to fostering the development of our students' organizational skills. As part of this effort, we are seeking donations to provide binder holders for each student. These binder holders are more than just a tool for storing school supplies—they are an essential part of teaching our students how to stay organized, manage their materials, and take responsibility for their own learning.

In 5th grade, students are at a pivotal point in their educational journey.

They are transitioning from the early years of elementary school, where much of their day is structured and guided, to a stage where they are expected to take more ownership of their education. This includes being responsible for their assignments, managing time effectively, and keeping track of multiple subjects and materials. Organizational skills are not just important for academic success but are also critical life skills that will serve our students well beyond their school years.

The binder holders we are looking to provide will serve as dedicated spaces for students to store and organize their binders, notebooks, and other materials. Each student will have their own holder, which will be labeled and placed within easy reach in the classroom. This simple tool will help students develop a routine for managing their school supplies, ensuring that they know exactly where their materials are and can access them quickly when needed.
