My students have a positive attitude about school. They are ready to learn and work hard towards achieving a better education.
My students are third graders who enjoy a school environment where working in creative and innovative tasks develops their minds.
Providing them with the support and guidance needed with their education is my priority.
Our school serves about 1100 students in grades K-5th. Our community is high poverty and our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school is also part of a food bank program that feeds about 500 of our families. The staff, along with parent volunteers, help create a safe learning environment for our students.
My students are beginning to develop their writing with great ideas and details. Often times these pieces of writing are just loose papers stapled together. I would love to use the plastic binding combs to make books with their creative writing pieces.
Students will be able to use the paper to print out their stories and to create illustrations.
Both creative writing, as well as art, will be enriched with these materials. Students will have complete books of their work, that they can feel proud to share with others. Writing is such a strong way for them to express their thoughts and this would be a great start to their writing journey.
