This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Can you remember back to the time when you were excited to learn something new and exciting each and every day at school? My pre-school Head Start classroom, consisting of 3-5 year old learners, is always busy with new and engaging activities!

Early learning sets the foundation for future academic success.

I strive to have new and exciting activities for the students to engage in each day. At this stage, they are learning to be more independent and self managed.

My Project

When the classroom is organized it helps the children, parents and visitors feel comfortabe, calm and safe. The clear bins will make the class organization child friendly. All resources like manipulatives will be easy to take out and put back on the labelled pictures to match the items in the bins. Interacting in social play helps with their cognitive skills taking turns working together to keep the classroom safe being kind and productive taking care of things in the classroom. The bulletin strips will help the children proudly to display their art work creating a sense of belonging in the School Family. The stapler will help send documents for family engagements home neatly.
