This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting books and signs so that I can set up a StoryWalk in our school's park.

StoryWalks are literacy projects that display children’s books along a community walking route.

The children’s books that I have selected will be taken apart page by page before being posted on signs in our school's park.

Our park is the perfect place for a StoryWalk because it serves as a play space for our students during the school day and as a community park in the evenings and on weekends.

I chose bilingual books to make this StoryWalk accessible to as many families as possible in our community.
