Help me give my students reading grade level books in both languages since they are part of a bilingual program. Part of the Bilingual program has to do with reading relevant and legitimate Spanish and English books.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In this second phase of the bilingual novel study, students will expand their understanding of bilingual literature by exploring new texts in both English and Spanish. The books will differ from those in the first phase, offering fresh themes, perspectives, and cultural contexts. This phase will focus on making connections between the texts, enhancing language skills, and deepening students’ ability to analyze literature critically in both languages.
Students will begin with paired text discussions, where they identify similarities and differences between the themes, characters, and cultural contexts of the new books and those read earlier.
These bilingual discussions will encourage critical thinking as students analyze how different authors approach similar ideas or represent distinct cultural experiences.
To further explore these connections, students will engage in a comparative writing project. Each student will write a bilingual essay or short narrative comparing a specific aspect of the two books, such as how the protagonists grow and change, how setting influences the story, or how cultural values are reflected in the plot. These comparative pieces will help students develop their analytical writing skills in both English and Spanish.
For collaborative engagement, students will participate in a bilingual "Roundtable Discussion." In small groups, they will discuss prompts such as, "How do the authors' cultural backgrounds shape their stories?" or "What can we learn about identity and resilience from the two texts?" Each group will present a summary of their key insights to the class, alternating languages during their presentation.
