Bilingual Literacy Boost with Engaging Teacher-Created Resources
Help me give my students engaging and age-appropriate literacy resources that support their reading and writing development in both English and Spanish, while creating lessons that keep them excited to learn and grow as bilingual readers.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my bilingual kindergarten classroom, literacy is at the center of everything we do. My students are learning to read and write in both English and Spanish, and each day we focus on building letter recognition, connecting sounds, blending syllables, and expressing ideas through writing and speaking.
To support this important work, I am requesting a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card that will allow me to purchase high-quality, ready-to-use literacy resources that meet the needs of my students.
These materials will help me create fun and targeted lessons that build phonemic awareness, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills in both languages.
