My Project

I teach multilingual learners in Kindergarten at a public charter school in a diverse neighborhood in Baltimore City. Our program gives students from many different backgrounds and cultures a place to grow and succeed.

My students are creative, energetic, motivated and ready to learn!

The students I work with primarily speak Spanish in their homes and are just beginning to learn English. I've been sending home learning pouches with books and activities each week for the students to share with their families. I'd love to include some books that are written in Spanish, so they can share the stories with their family members who may not know English. I want my students to be able to connect to their native language while also sharing the love of reading.
