This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an amazing class of wonderful, super active students who love to learn. All of my students are English language learners, as well as Spanish language learners in our dual language classroom. They are bilingual and some are even trilingual! These kiddos are responsible, respectful and very caring. Most of them have been together since kindergarten in our school’s dual language program. I want to be able to provide the best classroom environment that’s most conducive to their love of learning through flexible seating.
My Project
This is my second year back in the classroom so I have quite a few more needs fie my students. I’ve invested a lot in setting up flexible seating. My students have some flexible seating options but we are still in great need of more. As of now there are 12 flexible seats in our class of 29 students. 6 more seats would give more of my students opportunities for choices. The Kore Active seats help ALL students learn better because they allow for movement while they are sitting, and are especially helpful for students with ADHD. Not only are they more conducive to learning but they are WAY more comfortable than traditional classroom chairs. Thank you for your consideration in funding our classroom!
