Bilingual Books

Help me give my students bilingual books to help them learn English! My students are new to the country and while emerging them into our culture and language can be helpful, my students are asking for more.

My Project

Our school recently received several families from various Spanish speaking countries. These students do not speak English. They are brilliant and talented. They can fluently read and write in Spanish. They have a strong desire to learn English, but our school does not have the best resources to help them. With the selected bilingual books, the students will be able to compare Spanish with English. This will allow them to comprehend the story in their language while also practicing their new language. My English speaking students are also dedicated to helping the Spanish speaking students. This book will allow the Spanish speakers to read to the English speakers in Spanish. Ultimately, allowing both students to benefit from the exposure to different languages. Providing them with bilingual books can help them learn English and continue to be and feel as successful as they were in the schools in their home countries. Please help my students learn English with these bilingual books.
