By providing these materials for my sweet babies we will be able to accomplish so much learning. Having basic supplies and materials will allow my students to soar to their best potential. Every day my students use an interactive notebook. Each student has their own in which they glue an outline of the lesson for the day. It is their responsibility to take notes that they can use to refer back to. The students work together in groups on their independent practice after our while group teaching occurs. We spend the rest of the day in center time where the students work with each other to practice previously taught skills. These activities are typically games or some type of hands-on learning that requires them to work as a team. My students are given the option to complete these activities on the floor (something they love to do). However, last year we weren't able to afford a carpet or any type of flexible seating and they made the best of it on the hard tile floor. My goal this year is to provide them with comfortable options to complete their work. My students face a lot of difficulties outside of school but come to class each day ready to try their very best!
