My Students

Third grade is a huge year for kids to grow and explore the world. My students are extremely curious and kind humans who love to learn about others and the world. They love to use hands-on materials to understand difficult concepts and to problem solve. Within my classroom, we have over a dozen languages and cultures represented. Our classroom diversity provides an amazing environment for us all to learn from each other every day. As a community, we strive to think critically and treat one another with respect and kindness! It is essential that we have the community materials we need to learn and grow together.

My Project

We are incredibly lucky to have a classroom of multilingual learners! This project will expand our library to show a greater diversity of languages including Oromo, Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Amharic. By including bilingual books in our classroom library, we are celebrating and learning from the amazing strengths of our community.

We want our classroom library to reflect and celebrate the diversity of our multilingual learners!
