This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a small school filled with a number of students that have just come to this country. We want to provide them with books that make them feel included and important.

Bilingual books will enhance their love of learning while learning English.

During our read alouds and small reading groups we want to be as inclusive as we can. Having books in their language will make it easier and fun to learn. All the while keeping their Spanish language at the center of it all. Coming to school can be scary for the little ones, but these books can bring a taste of home to the classroom.
