Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Learning two languages is difficult, especially when you need books! These early reader books will help my students become fluent readers in two languages.

My students are hard working, inquisitive, and inspiring individuals.

They have an incredible drive and work hard all day, with the promise that they will be smarter today than they were yesterday. They have become invested in learning as a way of being successful and as a tool to help their community. They are motivated students that can't reach their true potential because they don't have resources.

My Project

Education should be a right, not a privilege. Support my classroom with a donation, to ensure that my students are not limited by the absence of books. Books were, and continue to be an instrumental part of my life. Unfortunately, my students have yet to discover the beauty of reading because we don't have enough books. If they had the resources necessary, they could exceed all expectations and reach their true potential. These books will help my students become better readers. They would be allowed to use them in class and take them home. My students are attempting to transition from Spanish reading into English reading, and they need your help! Each book would do wonders for my students, as it would get them one step closer to being truly bilingual.

"Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him." Books are something that a lot of people take for granted.

I can't teach the value and importance of books if I don't have any for my students to read. They need to become fluent in two languages, that is tough for anyone, especially when they don't have books. Support a project that will have indefinite impact on children.
