Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students and their families are doing the best to keep their children learning at home. They have limited resources available at home, and the majority do not have devices or internet service to successfully access activities, lessons and district's Apps for distance learning. A few of my students were able to check out Chrome books two weeks ago, but priority when to high school students and large families. Most of my families do not speak English at home and they feel more comfortable support their children education the paper and pencil way.

My Project

Equitable practice is not possible when not all my students do not have access to digital devices to do most of the distance learning activities from home.

By having bilingual materials ready from Teachers Pay Teachers to meet the unique needs of my students, I can provide each of my families the opportunity to continue learning at home.

By having materials ready to go, I will spend less time creating materials and I will spend more time focusing on connecting and checking in with my students.

With the requested TpT gift card, it will allow me to look for materials that will enhance SeeSaw lessons as well as print-and-deliver paper and pencil packages based on the families' needs from math fluency, number sense, handwriting, Spanish and English reading to fun mindfulness activities. This will be on part 2 of this project.
