My Project
I have many students at my school who do not have bicycles. We practice bike riding and teach safety and basic maintenance throughout the school year.
I would like my most underprivileged students to be able to ride bicycles this summer!
Students will earn a bicycle through our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to ride for the summer. Eligible students will earn a chance to take a bicycle home by demonstrating positive behavior in our school community. Students are very excited at this opportunity and this incentive is creating a lot of excitement around our school! Many students just learned how to ride a bicycle and having a bike to ride this summer will be great for improving their riding skills.
I think riding a bicycle is a very important part of childhood. I want to make sure all of my students have an opportunity to ride bikes and enjoy the sense of adventure and freedom that comes along with pedaling a bicycle! Students at my school love to ride bikes and I like to encourage this life long skill.
